The Vampire Stalker by Allison Van Dipen

Publisher: Scholastic
Age Group: YA
Rating: 4/5

What if the characters in a vampire novel left their world--and came into yours?
Amy is in love with someone who doesn't exist: Alexander Banks, the dashing hero in a popular series of vampire novels. Then one night, Amy meets a boy who bears an eerie resemblance to Alexander. In fact, he IS Alexander, who has escaped from the pages of the book and is in hot pursuit of a wicked vampire named Vigo. Together, Amy and Alexander set out to track Vigo and learn how and why Alexander crossed over. But when she and Alexander begin to fall for each other, Amy wonders if she even wants him to ever return to the realm of fiction.

I thought the concept of this book was funny. Ever since the day I read Twilight, I have been dying to meet one of my literay boyfriends, but as we all know, they're only words on paper, but in THE VAMPIRE STALKER, they come to life.

Amy is obsessed with this new vampire book, especially with the character Alexander Banks. She wishes he were real and her wish comes true. She meets Alexander. At first she thinks she's going crazy and some guy is obsessed with the books as well, but then realized that not only if Alexander real, so is Vigo, the evil vampire.

This book takes you on an adventure as Amy works with Alexander to fight Vigo. Amy does however fall in love with the real Alexander more and wants him forever, even though her heart breaks to know that he must go back to his own world, but the ending isn't sad at all. It's actually very satisfying and I'm glad Allison Van Dipen wrote this book.
